Standard Terminology
Is a set of “terms” that are shared, unambiguously understood and used among users to represent specific data elements in a database. Examples include SNOMED (Systematic Nomenclature of Medicine), IDC-9 and IDC-10, MedDRA (Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities) (as per Section 8.6 of HMA/EMA Joint Task Force on Big Data – Interim (Phase I) Report, February 2019).
